Center Sales Promotion Manager

The Sales Promotion Specialist will support the growth of U-Haul trailer hitch installations and self-storage occupancy by driving customer awareness, strengthening local market presence, and supporting field teams with effective promotional strategies. The ideal candidate is naturally curious, understands cause and effect, and can think critically about how multiple products work together and perform in a shared showroom space. This role focuses on in-store display, targeted advertising, customer research, and promotional activities that enhance product visibility and generate measurable results.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Display and Merchandising

  • Develop and maintain in-store and onsite displays that highlight trailer hitches, towing accessories, and self-storage offerings.

  • Ensure displays are visually appealing, accurate, and easy for customers to understand.

  • Provide guidance to centers on effective placement and presentation to increase customer engagement.

2. Awareness and Promotion

  • Create and execute promotional initiatives that increase awareness of hitch installation services and local self-storage availability.

  • Support seasonal or regional campaigns that highlight specific products, features, or offers.

  • Ensure delivery of consistent messaging across all customer touchpoints.

3. Advertising and Content Support

  • Drive on advertising efforts, including digital, print, and onsite materials that reinforce product value and drive customer interaction.

  • Collaborate to create messaging, creative assets, and promotional angles that resonate with customers

  • Monitor ad performance and recommend adjustments to improve effectiveness.

4. Research and Market Insights

  • Gather customer feedback, competitive insights, and local market trends to guide promotional strategies.

  • Analyze hitch and storage utilization data to identify opportunities for targeted outreach.

  • Present findings and recommendations to management to support continuous improvement.

5. Field Coordination and Training

  • Work directly with U-Haul centers to ensure adoption of promotional materials and display standards.

  • Offer education and tips to team members on how to promote hitch services and storage effectively to customers.

  • Serve as a resource for questions related to displays, advertising materials, and promotional best practices.

Qualifications

  • Experience in marketing, sales promotion, merchandising, or related field preferred.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to translate customer and market insights into actionable strategies.

  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively with field teams.

  • Basic understanding of consumer marketing principles and merchandising practices.
