The Cash Processing Specialist 1 is responsible for the research, review and processing of payments for timely and accurate application to loan accounts. The Processing Specialist 1 is also responsible for researching and resolving unidentified payments, responding to requests, and researching and/or resolving issues within area of responsibility. 

What You'll Do

  • Promptly and accurately research, review, and process payments from various sources. Research and resolve unidentified transactions in the cash suspense ledger. 
  • Process basic payment/account transactions, adjustments, and reconciling items.  Communicate with internal departments regarding daily work issues.
  • Prepare and process the daily check deposits using Remote Deposit Capture.  Organize and file daily backup and work processed.
  • Handle basic requests from department email box. Promptly and accurately, process requests and/or respond to inquiries from internal and external customers. Take corrective action as necessary to resolve issues.

Qualifications

  • 0-3 years experience
  • General computer skills
  • High School Degree or equivalent

Compensation

The estimated hourly rate for this role is $20.20-$26.45 along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual pay rate may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills and experience.
