The Head of Product Development will work with the Group Chief Product Office, as well as the product, actuarial and investment teams in each of the local business units to support the development of financial products which are both attractive to customers as well as aligned with Prudential risk appetite and achievable from an investment perspective.
To achieve this the Head of Product Development will use the capabilities housed in the Group Chief Investment Office as well as working with Eastspring and third-party managers.
The Head of Product Development will be responsible for agreeing the design of the investment components of all products with the Group Chief Product Office and local business units.
The Head of Product Development will lead cross‑LBU product investment strategy design reviews to harmonize investment components across markets while adapting for local constraints (asset availability, liquidity, regulation, tax, currency).
Core Competences Required:
· Strong knowledge and experience of investment markets, including fixed income and equity across both public and private assets.
· Good knowledge of insurance liability structures and product design/pricing.
· Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
Education and Experience:
· At least 10 years of experience in either an actuarial or insurance asset management role
· Relevant university degree
· Actuarial or CFA qualification preferred
