Job Description
Objective of position: Responsible for all aspects of supplier management and operational procurement activities for direct materials, ensuring supplier performance to main operational metrics. Monitor supplier risk / capacity.
You will report to Purchasing Manager
Your Responsibilities:
- Responsible for supplier on time delivery metrics including communicating and engaging corrective action plans with special focus on critical commodities
- Be first contact at Rockwell with special focus on critical commodities to establish level with suppliers to secure supplier awareness level of Rockwell Automation requirements.
- Establish relationships with Engineering, Operations, Marketing and Quality. Guide completion of all purchasing activities required for meeting schedules and projects.
- Participate in and support the coordinated purchase agreement programs with the Rockwell Strategic Sourcing organization.
- Participate in localization projects implementing regional alternate sources of supply with agreement with Strategic Sourcing taking a lead on specific project where assigned.
- Participation in Supply Management projects as assigned.
- Conduct tasks following applicable health, safety, quality, and environmental regulations (state/federal laws, ISO9001, ISO14000) and Rockwell Automation procedures.
- Ensure familiarity with company procedures.
- Results in improving and implementing cost reduction programs.
- Have knowledge in strategic sourcing, supply-chain, manufacturing and operational procurement
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Minimum 5 years of supply chain/procurement related experience.
- SAP environment experience
- Education and Experience: - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Engineering or equivalent
