About the Role

Manage and develop the business traction / relationship with partners in order to increase the sales volume and maximize the HNW business opportunities

Customer Centricity - This role contributes to the delivery of customer outcomes that are reliable, thoughtful, and create meaningful impact for customers and society. The role holder is expected to embed a customer first mindset in all decisions and actions by developing a clear understanding of customer needs, taking end to end ownership to resolve issues, and working collaboratively across teams to continuously enhance the customer journey—both directly and indirectly.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Aggressively and positively hunt new business within the HNW market, converting opportunities into measurable premium growth.

  • Demonstrate strong knowledge and understanding of the HNW segment, including client needs, buying behaviour, and value drivers in international insurance distribution.

  • Penetrate core international brokers by developing strategic broker plans, influencing broker engagement, and expanding the pipeline through priority partners.

  • Work effectively with internal stakeholders (sales, marketing, underwriting, operations, and product teams) to remove barriers, accelerate deal execution, and ensure seamless customer servicing.

  • Collaborate and share learnings with teammates—actively exchanging insights, market intelligence, objections handling, and best practices to collectively improve conversion and tap market share

  • Mobilise offshore consultant teams to execute targeted engagement strategies and ensure our AIA brand is effectively positioned with bankers in Singapore, including planning, coordination, and performance tracking.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Proven experience in business development within insurance (or a closely related financial services environment), with demonstrable success in HNW or complex high-value distribution channels.  

  • Strong ability to manage and grow relationships with international brokers and influence outcomes through partnership engagement.

  • Confidence and capability to build new relationships quickly, pursue opportunities proactively, and maintain a positive, resilient sales mindset.

  • Deep understanding (or strong learning ability of HNW clients and distribution dynamics.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align internal teams to external broker priorities.

  • Ability to lead and coordinate offshore resources, ensuring execution quality, timely deliverables, and consistent market messaging.

Others:

  • You are preferred to obtain the license of Insurance Authority (IA) (Paper 1, and 3)

  • You are required to acquire the relevant license(s) if your job involves regulated activities
