The Opportunity
As a Business Continuity Director, you will lead the strategic direction of security management, focusing on designing and implementing processes to protect the organization from external threats and enhance security controls. You will be responsible for evaluating security solutions, managing operational risks, and confirming compliance with regulatory agencies. As a Director, you will set the strategic direction and drive business growth, overseeing multiple projects while maintaining executive-level relations. You will inspire others to follow your vision, cultivating potential in the next generation of leaders and fostering environments where people and technology thrive together.
In this role at PwC, you will collaborate with the Firm Security Team team to develop and implement security frameworks, manage crisis situations, and lead initiatives in physical security management. Your role will involve handling confidential information, conducting security reviews, and managing stakeholder communications to support organizational goals. You will be instrumental in shaping the direction of projects, promoting technological advances, and creating a healthy working environment that maximizes stakeholder satisfaction. Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining the integrity and reputation of the firm, adhering to professional standards and driving thought leadership across the PwC Network.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of business continuity management strategies to safeguard critical operations
- Oversee security management processes, including security process design and security solutions evaluation, to protect organizational assets
- Manage crisis management protocols and incident response plans to effectively address and mitigate disruptions
- Conduct security reviews and security control assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies to maintain compliance with industry standards and legal requirements
- Develop and execute security training programs to enhance awareness and preparedness among staff
- Implement integrated security management systems to streamline security operations and improve efficiency
- Work with stakeholders to build and maintain robust communication strategies and relationships
- Utilize analytical thinking and systemic thinking to drive innovation and improve security frameworks
- Lead personnel management efforts to foster a secure and inclusive work environment
What You Must Have
- At least a High School Diploma or the equivalent
- At least 10 years of experience
- Demonstrating, in addition to the minimum years of experience required for the role, relevant experience in security systems, risk management, or PwC experience
What Sets You Apart
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Management or Criminology
- At least one of the following: Security and or Business Continuity certification, Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), ISO 22301 Certification
- Demonstrating proficiency in Business Continuity Management (BCM)
- In depth knowledge of the ISO 22301 standards
- Utilizing Security Process Design for enhanced protection
- Managing Security Incident Management effectively
- Excelling in Crisis Management and response strategies
- Leading Security Solutions Evaluation for optimal outcomes
- Implementing Security Systems Integration for seamless operations

For roles that are based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range for this position. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
