Department Overview:

TD is a leader in the Canadian credit card market with industry leading digital capabilities. TD consumer and business credit cards are distributed nationally, leveraging our retail distribution network, direct response channels and key co-brand partnerships. The Canadian Card Payments & Loyalty team is responsible for strategy, product development, customer lifecycle management, and financial performance of all Canadian credit card products. As a member of the Cards & Payments Journey, you will be responsible for understanding and serving our customers' needs and experiences from end to end. You will continuously contribute to building innovative products and services that exceed customers' expectations and improving expense management by delivering features that drive greater productivity, efficiency, and simplicity. 

Job Responsibilities:

The Business Analyst will work with the various business and technology partners, and when applicable, vendors, throughout the various project phases, including initiation, concept, analysis, development, testing and implementation. 
 
The primary focus for this role is to provide research, analysis and documentation of business requirements, and system and applications changes with our vendors and Credit Card Applications (TSYS).

Job Requirements:

This position requires leadership, analytical and critical thinking skills. The chosen candidate must be a mature individual who is able to work with minimal supervision, contribute to a positive work environment, and manage multiple assignments with competing priorities successfully.

  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with partners and team members.

  • Demonstrate a pro-active approach in day-to-day accountabilities and interactions (e.g., issue resolution, providing recommendations).

  • Promote innovation by applying subject matter expertise to generate forward-thinking ideas as well as critical thinking to find opportunities for improvement.

  • Ensure timely notification and escalation of issues/defects while assessing options and recommendations for prompt resolution.

  • Ensure work meets associated regulatory and framework controls, standards, and best practices.

  • Apply analytical skills to effectively understand business problems, impacted stakeholders, and proposed solutions to ensure alignment to TD's risk appetite.

  • Ability to effectively facilitate meetings of any size including the documentation and issuance of meeting minutes. Apply analytical and critical thinking skills through a variety of analysis techniques to enable informed decision making.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with stakeholders to ensure alignment to delivery framework and objectives.

  • Participates, and contributes and/or leads the planning and execution of production validation.

  • Sound knowledge and experience with testing processes (review test results; defect resolution and recommend sign-off).

  • Participates and may lead the scoping process for deliverables.

  • Knowledge of Credit Cards (TD, MBNA) is an asset.

  • Knowledge of the Credit Card lifecycle is an asset.

  • Previous experience working with data analysis and design an asset (e.g., SQL, Advanced Excel, and Macro's).

  • Experience working with agile methodology (Jira and confluence) asset.

  • Knowledge of TS2 technical environments and supported processes and applications an asset.

Education & Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree or relevant diploma/certifications

  • 3+ years relevant experience
