Position Overview

As a Building Operations & Conference Services Specialist at JLL, you'll serve as the backbone of our multi-building commercial campus operations, seamlessly blending essential facility maintenance with exceptional event management services. In this dynamic role, you'll partner with our MAC team to ensure optimal building performance while orchestrating memorable conference and meeting experiences for our clients. You'll manage everything from routine building maintenance and safety protocols to sophisticated audiovisual deployments and custom event setups, all while maintaining JLL's commitment to delivering exceptional service experiences that set us apart in the commercial real estate industry.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Execute routine building maintenance tasks including basic repairs, system inspections, and preventive maintenance activities in partnership with the MAC team
  • Conduct comprehensive meeting room setups and breakdowns according to detailed client specifications, managing furniture arrangements, audiovisual equipment, and event materials
  • Monitor and maintain safety standards across all facility areas including lobbies, common spaces, and event venues while conducting regular facility assessments
  • Oversee portable audiovisual equipment deployment across multiple buildings, including transportation, installation, and operational testing to ensure seamless technology integration
  • Perform systematic daily and weekly meeting room inspections using mobile technology for documentation and maintain accurate posting of current booking information
  • Manage audiovisual equipment inventory with detailed tracking of locations, identification numbers, and service records to optimize asset utilization
  • Coordinate with property management, security, catering services, and external vendors to ensure flawless event execution and facility operations
  • Provide exceptional customer service through proactive communication and responsive problem-solving for both internal teams and external clients
  • Support facility logistics including vendor coordination, delivery management, and loading dock operations while maintaining organized storage areas.
  • Assist the MAC team with work orders and facility moves during slower event periods to maintain operational efficiency

Required qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with demonstrated academic achievement
  • Physical capability to lift 50 pounds regularly and navigate multi-story buildings with frequent stair use
  • Advanced proficiency with computer systems, mobile applications, and Microsoft Office suite for operational documentation and tracking
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with professional client interaction experience
  • Demonstrated customer service excellence with focus on quality delivery and consistently exceeding client expectations
  • Exceptional attention to detail with proven ability to maintain consistent quality standards and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong collaborative skills with ability to work effectively across diverse teams and departments in a dynamic environment

Preferred qualifications:

  • Minimum two years of experience in event services, facilities management, audiovisual support, or hospitality operations
  • Technical training or certification in audiovisual systems, building operations, or related facility management fields
  • Background in commercial real estate, corporate facilities, or client-focused service environments with understanding of industry standards
  • Experience with maintenance protocols, building systems, or property operations in multi-tenant commercial environments
  • Innovative problem-solving approach with demonstrated adaptability to changing operational requirements and client needs
