Boeing is seeking a Building Operational Technology Manager (Level K) to join our team. This position will lead a newly created workstream within Enterprise Services, Technology & Systems supporting the governance and management of a variety of building operational technology asset classes across the Boeing portfolio, primarily supported and managed with support from Global Real Estate & Facilities (GREF) as part of Enterprise Services in Mesa, AZ or North Charleston, SC.

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.  This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This role will involve up to 25% domestic travel.​

Enterprise Services is a team of 2,500+ employees whose collective mission is to enable the build of Boeing’s products. Enterprise Services provides strategic partnership and support to all Boeing business units through multiple service towers – creating outsized impact and value across the Enterprise. The individual in this role would be a part of Enterprise Services Operational Excellence & Transformation team.

This position will be responsible for daily leadership of business processes management systems, deliver on complex organizational critical objectives, as well as execute highly complex and cross-functional strategic objectives end-to-end from strategy development, stakeholder alignment, work execution management, communication, and ensuring lasting sustainment of change and improvements. In addition, it will serve a strategic leadership purpose within the extended Enterprise Services Technology & Systems leadership team to help shape the future of the function.

You will partner closely with all aspects of the organization's executive and senior management teams within Enterprise Services and other stakeholder groups across the enterprise. You will use your influence and leadership to engage and coordinate with teams located across the global portfolio with support to numerous sites in multiple countries, provinces, and cities. This position and your work location may be located within the domestic U.S. It will require infrequent travel to visit stakeholders at other sites as business needs require.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead a Building Operational Technology Working Group to create new ways of working in order to sustain complex operating assets and platforms across the enterprise

  • Team Leadership. Build and lead a team of technical experts to affect improvement to the governance and management of building operational technology asset classes.

  • Asset Definition & Taxonomy. Develop standards in partnership with other stakeholder groups to adequately bound impacted asset classes.

  • Asset Inventory & Data Management. Develop standards and systems to manage asset attributes and data requirements across multiple complex systems.

  • Governance & Compliance. Establish new “ways of working” that govern macro Asset Management of impacted asset classes. Understand and communicate internal and external related compliance requirements. Define processes and standards to meet those requirements.

  • OT / IT Partnership. Partner with other operational technology working groups including stakeholders in Boeing’s IT community. Partner effectively leveraging collaborative ownership to meet business objectives.

  • Organizational Leadership

  • Support strategic organizational change through close partnership with leadership team

  • Acquire resources for organizational activities; develop integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures; guide the development of business and technical strategies, goals, objectives

  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, peers, and business partners

  • Manage, lead, develop and motivate employees and other leaders.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience in a Project Manager, Program Manager, or Business Operations position

  • 5+ years of experience communicating and leading projects inclusive of employees, customers, peers, and up to executive leadership.

  • 5+ years of experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • 5+ years of analytical experience inclusive of organizing & analyzing data; summarizing findings; and developing recommendations.

  • 3+ years using industry standard project management tools (ex: Microsoft Project).

  • Experience in leadership roles within teams

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Prior Boeing or Aerospace industry experience.

  • Prior experience in consulting and/or project management in a large, complex industrial company preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills – both down and out.

  • Ability to demonstrate continuous improvement mindset.

  • Self-starter, strong bias for action.

  • Ability to take problems, create project solutions, and execute to deliver value for customers.

  • Previous knowledge of elements related to and impacting operational technology practices and methods

Summary Level Pay Range: $119,850 - $162,150
