Job Summary
BA (BOM Analyst) is the key role representing Services Supply Chain for specific product lines across the Americas, Europe, Asia Pacific and Japan. This role manages the BOM for service supply chain for PC service parts while balancing cost and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
• Participate in strategice product & part level decisions, collaboration, and influence for end to end lifecycle events.
• Participate in Spare Kit BOM definition and development.
• Service Product BOM creation and maintenance, engage with GLM, Product Engineers, Product Support Managers and Suppliers for continuous BOM update throughout end of service.
• Participate in special assignments that drive continuous improvements in terms of process efficiency or cost effectiveness.
• Main focal point between the Service Supply Chain & Manufacturering including GBU and ODM.
• Key role being responsible for the readiness of product introductions, sustaining, part roll, and quality issues, and customer satisfaction issues.
• Own master data governance to ensure data quality.
• Monitors key metrics, creates relevant reporting metrics, and reviews information for continuous improvement.
• Contributes to priority projects with complex analysis and assists in developing recommendations.
• Workin in a virtual environment with team members in various time zones.
• Participates or lead strategic discussions with HP Service Engineers, Product Support Managers, Supplier Managers and Regional PLM to ensure that service and support for products are ready in the service supply chain.
• Identify, track and drive to resolution for program issues and risks.
Education & Experience Recommended
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations management, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 4-7 years of work experience, preferably in supply chain, operations, or a related field or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of work experience.
