Bolting Solutions Sales Engineer, Sr. Lead *SIGN-ON BONUS*

As a Senior Lead Sales Engineer, you are responsible for driving business growth through the delivery of high-level technical expertise and solutions. You will serve as an expert in pre-sales and/or post-sales technical consulting activities, lead high-value engagements, and ensure that solutions meet their clients’ complex needs. This position combines advanced technical knowledge with customer-facing communication to support strategic business opportunities.

Location: Middleburg Heights, OH (greater Cleveland area)

Salary:  $109, 700 - $158,500

Your Challenge:

  • Pre-Sales Technical Consulting (35%)

    • Acts as the primary technical leader in strategic customer meetings.

    • Leads the design and implementation of highly complex, tailored solutions that address unique customer challenges.

    • Leads in-depth technical presentations, product demonstrations, and solution briefings to potential clients and stakeholders, ensuring a clear understanding of the technical value proposition.

    • Leads high-stakes proposals and bid processes, overseeing the development of detailed technical proposals.

  • Post-Sales Technical Consulting (35%)

    • Oversees the integration and deployment of large-scale solutions, ensuring successful delivery within scope, time and budget. Provides strategic direction for project teams to ensure smooth handover from sales to operations.

    • Serves as a senior technical advocate for clients, addressing complex post-sales issues, troubleshooting critical problems, and managing escalation processes to ensure customer satisfaction and continued partnership.

    • Establishes long-term relationships with key stakeholders, providing ongoing consultation to optimize the performance and evolution of implemented solutions.

    • Leads advanced technical training sessions and workshops for customers.

  • Mentors and guides sales engineers and technical staff, sharing expertise and providing coaching to help them develop their skills. (15%)

  • Champions process improvements within the sales engineering function, looking for ways to increase efficiency, improve collaboration and enhance the overall customer experience. (15%)

Your Expertise:

  • Successful pre-sales and post-sales technical consulting experience with a focus on leading complex sales cycles.

  • Strong background in customer-facing roles, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to a variety of stakeholders.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to provide innovative solutions to challenging customer problems.

  • Advanced technical aptitude, with the ability to understand complex systems and translate that into compelling business solutions.
