Through our Progressions program, we provide therapeutic support in a safe, welcoming environment designed to help patients build stability, strengthen coping skills, and continue progressing in their mental health journey.

As an Outpatient Behavioral Health Technician at MIND 24-7, you will play a key role in supporting patients participating in our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and other outpatient services. You will help maintain a therapeutic group environment, monitor patient engagement and emotional regulation, and work closely with therapists and the Progressions care team to support patient safety, stabilization, and a positive treatment experience.

Your Role & Impact

  • Monitor and support patient participation, engagement, and emotional regulation during IOP groups and outpatient programming

  • Help maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment for patients and staff

  • Assist therapists and clinical team members with patient flow, transitions, and daily program support

  • Use trauma-informed communication and therapeutic de-escalation techniques when patients become distressed or dysregulated

  • Observe patient behaviors and communicate concerns, changes, or safety issues promptly to licensed clinical staff

  • Support intake and discharge processes, including welcoming patients, assisting with paperwork, and reinforcing next steps

  • Document patient interactions, observations, attendance, and relevant information in the electronic health record and/or program workflows

  • Support clinic operations through room readiness, supply organization, scheduling support, and general coordination

  • Answer phones, assist with patient and visitor questions, and help create a welcoming outpatient experience

  • Participate in required supervision, meetings, and ongoing training

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the Progressions program and care team

What We’re Looking For

✔️ High School Diploma or GED required
✔️ 1–3 years of experience in behavioral health, healthcare, or human services preferred
✔️ Experience in outpatient behavioral health, IOP, or group programming preferred
✔️ Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card (or ability to obtain upon hire)
✔️ CPR certification or ability to obtain upon hire
✔️ Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills
✔️ Ability to remain calm, compassionate, and professional in emotionally sensitive situations
✔️ Basic computer skills and comfort with documentation systems
✔️ Understanding of trauma-informed care, patient support, and therapeutic communication
