Back Office Business Analyst (For Pooling Only)

As a Back Office Business Analyst reporting to the AVP of Client Services, you'll play a critical role in driving client success across the APAC region by delivering expert advisory, implementation, and upgrade services for Nasdaq's Calypso product.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with clients to gather requirements and design solutions aligned with Calypso best practices and business objectives.
  • Configure, test, and validate system solutions to meet business requirements, supporting clients through SIT, UAT, and go-live phases.
  • Create functional scope and solution documents that translate business needs into practical system capabilities.
  • Collaborate with internal product and technical teams to identify gaps, test enhancements, and ensure successful implementation.
  • Manage project timelines, communicate progress proactively, and train users on system functionality and new features.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, computer science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in capital markets back-office operations or business analysis with a software vendor.
  • Strong expertise in post-trade processing areas including trade validation, accounting, settlements, reconciliations, and regulatory reporting.
  • Functional knowledge of multiple asset classes such as FX, fixed income, derivatives, equities, or commodities.
  • Excellent client service skills with the ability to build relationships, influence decisions, and communicate complex concepts clearly.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Calypso or comparable back-office trading systems.
  • Exposure to clearing, collateral management, or securities finance.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and travel as needed across the APAC region.

This position will be located in Tokyo and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.

This is a permanent, full-time role so candidates should have full working rights in Japan. To be eligible to apply, you must have Japanese citizenship or permanent residency status.
