The AVP, Strategic Development will lead the evaluation and intake of critical new projects, shaping comprehensive strategies for early-stage business concepts and overseeing their initial incubation within the organization. This role is responsible for driving strategic clarity, building actionable roadmaps, and ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities. Acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, the AVP will manage high-impact initiatives from intake through execution, collaborating across functions to accelerate progress and deliver measurable outcomes.
Strategic Intake & Evaluation: Lead rigorous assessment of new business opportunities (including acquisition in-take) and strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives.
Strategy Development: Build comprehensive strategies for early-stage concepts, including market analysis, financial modeling, and risk assessment.
Incubation & Execution: Oversee initial incubation of new initiatives, ensuring milestones, impact, and timing are met.
Initiative Leadership: Manage cross-functional working teams, develop detailed roadmaps with milestones, risks, and interdependencies, and ensure effective resourcing.
Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a primary liaison to senior executives, providing insights, recommendations, and updates for leadership forums and enterprise planning processes.
Lifecycle Management: Provide leadership across the full initiative lifecycle—from intake and gating through execution and transition.
Strategic Thinking: Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable strategies and communicate insights clearly.
Analytical Rigor: Advanced problem-solving skills, including financial modeling, market analysis, and scenario planning.
Project Leadership: Proven experience leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders.
Stakeholder Management: Exceptional ability to influence and engage senior executives and drive alignment across diverse teams.
Communication Excellence: Strong executive presence with outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Change Leadership: Skilled at driving organizational change and managing ambiguity in dynamic environments.
Technical Proficiency: Comfort with data visualization tools, advanced Excel, and strategic planning platforms.
Team Management: Strong team management capability.
Education & Experience:
MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
8+ years of experience in strategy, corporate development, or management consulting.
Demonstrated track record of delivering enterprise-level strategic initiatives.
