The Role

  • Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain AutoSys Workload Automation environments.
  • Administer job scheduling, calendars, and workload policies to support business and IT requirements.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot job failures, dependency issues, and agent communication problems.
  • Manage AutoSys agents, application servers, and databases across multiple environments.
  • Automate and optimize batch jobs using best practices and scripting (Shell, Python, etc.).
  • Work closely with development and operations teams to onboard new applications into AutoSys.
  • Maintain job documentation, operational procedures, and system runbooks.
  • Ensure system security, compliance, and user access control.
  • Provide 24/7 on-call support for critical production issues (rotation-based).
  • Collaborate with vendor support and internal teams for problem resolution and feature enhancements.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.
  • Perform regular capacity planning and performance tuning.


Who You Are

  • 4 - 6 years of relevant Autosys administration
  • Strong hands-on experience with CA AutoSys Workload Automation (v11.x or higher).
  • Proficiency in creating and managing JIL (Job Information Language) scripts.
  • Solid understanding of job types, dependencies, calendars, and box jobs.
  • Experience in managing AutoSys Web Interface (WCC) and EEM (Enterprise Event Manager).
  • Familiarity with UNIX/Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Strong scripting skills (Shell, Perl, Python, etc.) for automation and troubleshooting.
  • Working knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.) for backend job auditing and monitoring.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes (Change, Incident, Problem Management).
  • Experience integrating AutoSys with tools like ServiceNow, Splunk, Control-M, or other ITSM platforms is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
