Are you passionate about digital content and eager to help shape how it reaches the masses? The New York Post is looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Audience Development Intern (40 hrs/week) to join our team this summer. This is a unique opportunity to dive deep into the world of digital media, work closely with our editorial and audience teams, and help grow the Post’s reach to new heights!
Note: This internship is scheduled to run from June 1, 2026 - August 7, 2026. Participants are expected to work full time hours and adhere to our on-site work schedule. Open to current juniors and seniors pursuing a BA, MA students, and recent graduates who completed their degree within the past year. Priority consideration will be given to applications received by March 15th.
What You’ll Do:
Support audience data projects and assist with reporting and performance analysis.
Help maintain and optimize newsletter lists, welcome journeys, and reengagement campaigns.
Learn the Pushly platform, assist with performance tracking, and help execute push notification campaigns for our Sports+ product.
Explore Facebook Ads Manager and support campaign setup and creative testing.
Assist with article removal requests across our partner platforms as needed
Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Social teams on audience growth initiatives.
Identify insights and opportunities to improve engagement and clickthrough across audience touchpoints
What You’ll Learn:
How audience insights drive content and growth strategy.
Best practices for newsletter development and engagement optimization.
Cross-team collaboration between Audience Development, Product, and Marketing.
What We’re Looking For:
An interest in audience development, with some experience in digital marketing or data analytics a plus
Organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
Excellent analytical skills to review engagement patterns, find trends, and understand what drives engagement.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills—you’ll be working with various teams to make things happen!
