The Development Student Worker is an integral member of the Development team and reports to the Development Coordinator. They will be responsible for providing full administrative support in all fundraising activities including donor and public relations, and email appeals, special events along with data analytics.
Essential Functions:
Helps handle communications and marketing for the Lopes Club
Works closely with the Development Coordinator for event preparation and execution regarding the hospitality space on game nights
Assist the Development Coordinator with the Lopes Club, and team specific giving initiatives
Implements new and creative ideas to engage young alumni with the idea of philanthropy
Updates the fundraising dashboard for the administrative staff
Pulls bi-weekly and monthly reports for all athletics fundraising initiatives
Helps identify unassigned prospects for the Development Coordinator
Continuously updates all varsity sports' lists of former athletes and supporters
Actively update records in our CRM system to have the best available information possible.
The Student Worker actively participates in all key athletic events, including home basketball games, key games for other sports, as well as other major GCU Lopes functions.
There may be light travel when necessary.
Should be prepared to be an active member of a small team
Ability to lift 25 pounds
The Development Student Worker will conduct themself in the spirit of GCU core values and within the boundaries of NCAA rules and regulations.
Ability to work extremely flexible work hours including evenings and weekends and all men’s basketball games.
Student Worker possesses strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
Other duties and tasks as assigned
Pay Rate: Minimum Wage
