The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join our training team as an Associate Trainer, helping to develop both the current and future workforce across the plumbing and heating industry.

Working closely with the Training Manager, you will play a key role in delivering hands-on training to installers, contractors and apprentices, ensuring our systems are installed correctly and in line with industry best practice.

You will work across a variety of environments, from construction sites and installer training sessions to further education colleges and our National Training Centre, helping professionals transition to modern plumbing systems and low-carbon heating technologies.

This is a highly engaging role that combines technical expertise, practical training delivery and industry outreach, while supporting the growth of the Polypipe brand.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Deliver practical, on-site training to plumbers, heating engineers and groundworkers to ensure correct installation of our systems and solutions.

  • Support installers transitioning from traditional systems to low-carbon heating technologies, including air source heat pumps and underfloor heating.

  • Share best-practice installation techniques and champion high standards across the industry.

  • Build strong relationships with further education colleges and private training providers to support apprentices and ensure our products form part of their training curriculum.

  • Deliver guest lectures and practical workshops to students, inspiring the next generation of installers.

  • Coordinate the supply of training materials and product samples for college workshop environments.

  • Support the Training Manager in delivering accredited training courses at the National Training Centre during peak periods.

  • Assist with the preparation, maintenance and safety of practical training bays and installation rigs.

  • Gather feedback and insights from field visits to help improve training content and delivery.

  • Work with the marketing team to support the creation of training content and social media material.

  • Represent Polypipe as a brand ambassador at trade shows, training events and industry activities.
