Title:  Analyst II – Quality Assurance

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

The Analyst II, Customer Success Test Engineer is responsible for executing testing activities to support the upgrade of client applications to the latest Duck Creek product versions. This role focuses on learning and applying testing standards, methodologies, and tools to design, execute, and maintain test cases. Working closely with developers, client teams, and project stakeholders, the Analyst ensures upgrades are validated, defects are identified, and applications meet quality expectations. The role contributes to testing efficiency and quality while developing deeper product and domain expertise within an Agile  

  • Develops and executes test plans for upgrades, ensuring all functionalities are thoroughly tested.
  • Performs manual and automated testing (Test Automation Center, Regression Runner, Nightwatch test scripts) for upgrades, including integration testing and client regression testing.
  • Leverages various test design techniques to improve the upgrade test scope.
  • Design and execute manual and automated test cases for product upgrades under guidance from senior team members. 
  • Perform functional, integration, and regression testing using organizationally supported tools such as Test Automation Center and Regression Runner. 
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of automated test scripts for upgrade standard packs. 
  • Document, track, and retest defects in collaboration with development and client teams using defect tracking tools. 
  • Assist developers in reproducing issues and identifying root causes of defects. 
  • Participate in sprint and system test activities, supporting certification processes for Duck Creek products. 
  • Collaborate within Agile teams to align on testing strategies and execution approaches. 
  • Create and maintain test data required for manual and automated testing activities. 
  • Gain proficiency with testing tools and techniques, including Queries, xPath, and automation frameworks. 
  • Develop foundational knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance and functional expertise in at least one Duck Creek product. 
  • Participate actively in team activities such as reviews, retrospectives, and process improvements. 
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing practices by adopting new tools and methodologies. 
  • Perform all other duties and activities as required.

WHAT YOU’VE DONE:
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or foreign equivalent, related work experience can be substituted for educational requirement. 
  • 1–2 years of experience in quality assurance, software testing, or a related discipline. 
  • 1–2 years of experience in product or industry-related work, preferably within insurance or enterprise. 
  • Awareness of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies, including Agile/Scrum. 
  • Foundational knowledge of P&C insurance, with exposure to Commercial Lines. 
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems with guidance and mentorship. 
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to contribute to sprint reviews, team meetings, and stakeholder discussions. 
  • Self-starter who demonstrates initiative in addressing issues and escalating appropriately. 
  • Quick learner with eagerness to grow technical, product, and domain expertise. 
  • Ability to document and execute test cases effectively. 
  • Basic understanding of automation frameworks and tools. 
  • Active participation in collaborative team activities and Agile processes. 
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. 
  • Ability to manage time effectively to meet deadlines. 
  • Willingness to take ownership of assigned tasks with minimal supervision. 
  • Professional integrity, accountability, and alignment with Duck Creek’s values.
