Job Description
Primary functions and essential responsibilities
The Associate will work with the Real Estate Product Management and Investor Relations Team to provide information and expertise on firm strategies and funds to clients. The Associate will coordinate investor reporting and servicing and support fundraising activities across the Real Estate platform, while helping to maintain high standards of accuracy, responsiveness and consistency across investor deliverables.
To succeed in this role, an individual should bring a strong combination of organisational, analytical and communication skills, together with the ability to operate effectively across multiple teams and workstreams. The role requires sound judgement, attention to detail, a collaborative approach and the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparation and coordination of investor reporting across Real Estate strategies, working closely with internal stakeholders to support the timely and accurate delivery of investor-facing materials
- Serve as a key point of coordination between the global Real Estate Investor Relations team and internal stakeholders, including Investment, Portfolio Management, Finance, ESG and Legal and Compliance teams
- Support fundraising processes the preparation and ongoing maintenance of investor presentations, marketing materials, due diligence materials and other client-facing content
- Assist in responding to due diligence questionnaires, RFPs and ad hoc investor information requests for existing and prospective investors
- Maintain and update market, fund and competitor data used in investor communications and related materials
- Help establish and maintain effective workflows, coordination processes and quality standards for the Real Estate Investor Relations team in Mumbai
- Support the onboarding and development of junior team members over time as the local capability expands
- Take on ad hoc projects and support broader strategic initiatives within Real Estate Product & IR
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or another pre-professional field, or a discipline with exposure to economics, accounting or corporate finance.
Experience Required:
- Required: 4 - 6 years of experience working on a investor relations or product specialist role OR alternatively someone with a background in real estate, asset management, investment banking or related roles looking to make a move into an investor relations focused role in Real Estate.
General Requirements:
- Exceptional organizational skills with ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, representing the Firm in a professional manner with clients
- Detail-oriented with strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Motivated self-starter, ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a team player
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook; knowledge of PowerBI
- Experience in managing more junior team members
- Knowledge of real estate and / or investment management industry at a financial services firm
