This position will be a hybrid work arrangement. You will receive 18 remote workdays per quarter to use at your discretion, subject to manager approval. For example, you may choose to work in the office 4 days per week and take one remote day weekly (typically 13 weeks per quarter), leaving 5 additional remote days to be used as needed.

We are seeking an Associate to become an internal expert on private markets and the broader asset management landscape – this is a role with elements analogous to what a banking or hedge fund analyst does: covering a portfolio of names and relevant market developments on an ongoing basis. The individual must thrive on learning and synthesizing sophisticated market developments into insights for senior stakeholders across the firm.

What you will do:

  • Play an internal expert role re Private Markets (PE, Private Credit, Infrastructure), including competitive developments, peer strategies, new products, partnerships, acquisitions, commercial approaches, and so on.
  • Continuously monitor key public and private asset management firms using a range of sources such as earnings reports, broker research, analyst coverage, financial models, and news media.
  • Conduct internal and external expert interviews
  • Synthesize market and competitive developments regularly and proactively flag material events as they occur.
  • Aggregate internal insights from various sources, maintaining key relationships to cultivate and collaborate with colleagues in different parts of the firm with strong access to systematic or anecdotal market knowledge.
  • Develop and maintain a formal internal knowledge repository combining these internal insights with external sources.
  • Translate research and analysis into clear outputs such as presentations, newsletters, materials for briefing the CEO or Board, or webinars.
  • Support insights with quantitative analysis and Excel-based modeling where appropriate.
  • Leverage productivity tools, including AI, to gather and distribute knowledge and insights in the most efficient and effective manner.
  • Serve as resource for Product Strategy, Product Development, Wealth, Evergreen Solutions, and other teams seeking actionable insights on market dynamics or competitive intelligence.

What you bring:

  • Strong intellectual curiosity with the ability to quickly build expertise in complex topics and exercise judgment over what matters
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with financial and market data
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Education Preferred

  • Bachelor of Arts (B.A), Bachelor of Science (B.S) or equivalent experience

Experience Preferred

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a field demonstrating written and analytical capabilities (market research, finance, consulting or similar) as well as experience and/or curiosity in asset management, private markets, strategy, or competitive intelligence

Salary Range

$92,000.00 - $128,000.00

This USD base salary range represents only one component of total compensation for this role and is provided in accordance with local requirements. This role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, which is determined based on individual and overall firm performance. In addition to salary and bonus, total compensation may include eligibility for long-term reward programs and a comprehensive total rewards package that may include retirement, health, insurance, paid time off, and wellness programs. Our total rewards offerings are influenced by several business factors, and eligibility for certain components will vary by position and geography. Please note the posted ranges do not apply outside the U.S. and should not be converted to other currencies as a proxy for compensation in other countries.
