What you'll be doing

We are currently recruiting for a recent MBA graduate to become an associate equity analyst on the CIBC Core Growth Team in Boston led by Sandy Sanders, CFA. You will be mentored and trained in a specific fundamental Seven Step Investment Process. The focus is on U.S. Core and Growth equities in all market capitalization ranges. You will concentrate your time researching companies using a Seven Step Investment Process, which essentially is grounded in studying the fundamentals of a company which include: competitive advantages, growth drivers, industry analysis, financial statement analysis, management team assessment, range of values, Risks, and ESG analysis. Over time, once the team lead is comfortable that the investment process has been properly learned and practiced, a specific sector will be assigned for direct coverage for ongoing duties.

The CIBC Core Growth Team investment strategies are focused on All Cap Core, All Cap Growth, and Large Cap Growth with AUM exceeding $5 billion. This is a new team at CIBC, and you will be part of a growing equity franchise that was recently established at CIBC in March of 2026. This role will be on-site in Boston, but will also include research and client travel needs. Having robust knowledge of current IT internet technology and innovation trends, particularly artificial intelligence tools, digital tools, in addition to FactSet, Bloomberg, and superior Excel modeling skills will be a standout.

To successfully perform the work, you will be on-site full-time.
