Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented entry level environmental engineer or geologist who exhibits great problem-solving skills, a “can do” attitude and thrives in a high-energy environment.  In this role, you will work closely with a team of environmental engineers and geologist supporting various environmental investigation, design and construction projects, that include soil, sediment, and groundwater remediation. 

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Performs various field and office tasks supporting environmental investigations, remedial designs and remedial construction oversight. 
  • Develop and/or oversees field investigation programs, including soil borings and groundwater monitoring.
  • Review boring logs and develop subsurface soil profiles. 
  • Complete investigation and construction field assignments (may require occasional travel and limited lifting).
  • Coordinate laboratory testing programs and analyze and interpret laboratory test results.
  • Write technical reports and memos.
  • Work effectively and collaboratively with the project team.
  • Develop management skills to grow into a Task Manager/Project Manager/Technical Lead position. 
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate
  • Implement behavior-based safety practices to achieve incident free operations (no personal injuries, property damage or environmental releases) for both client and Parsons.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology or Environmental Science or related field.
  • Master’s degree in similar fields preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related computer software applications.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in both written and oral communication skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) Certificate is preferred but not required. 
  • 0+ years of related work experience

Salary Range: $22.93 - $40.14
