Position Summary
You will lead the development and delivery of global publications strategies that support our medical and scientific goals. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and external partners to plan, author, and publish high-quality scientific content. This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:
- Lead development and implementation of strategic publications plans for assigned assets and topics.
- Coordinate cross-functional input, including medical, clinical, regulatory, and regional teams, to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
- Oversee authorship, manuscript development, and submission processes to journals and congresses, ensuring compliance with good publication practice.
- Manage external vendors and budgets, and maintain high quality control of publication tracking and reporting systems.
- Provide editorial review and scientific oversight for key publications, ensuring accuracy and integrity of data presentation.
- Act as a publications expert and point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, proactively communicating plans and timelines.
Responsibilities
- Create clear, practical publication plans that align with medical strategy and business priorities.
- Ensure timely execution of publication deliverables and maintain a publication schedule.
- Work with cross-functional leads to resolve publication-related issues and escalate when needed.
- Maintain publication records and metrics to report progress and identify risks.
- Build and manage relationships with external authors, journal editors, and agency partners.
- Promote publication best practices, compliance with policies, and ethical standards across the team.

Basic Qualification
We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals:
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, pharmacy, medicine, or related field.
- Strong experience in publications management, medical communications, or medical affairs.
- Strong knowledge of good publication practice and authorship guidelines.
- Proven project management skills and ability to deliver multiple publications on time.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to scientific detail.
- Experience working in a matrixed, global organisation and managing external vendors.
Preferred Qualification
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
- Advanced degree (MSc, PhD, or MD) in a relevant discipline.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
- Familiarity with publication planning software and tracking systems.
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders and external thought leaders.
- Track record of authorship or editorial contribution to peer-reviewed journals.
- Experience managing budgets and contractual aspects of external vendor relationships.
Working Model
This role is offered on a hybrid working basis. You will be expected to work from our United Kingdom or United States offices and remotely, balancing team collaboration and focused work.
