The Role

An Associate Consultant/Consultant forms the pillar of account coordination and provides strong project and time management. They are responsible for providing key insights and staying on top of news and anticipating developments relevant to clients and new business. They are capable of multitasking and work across sectors and projects to build skills and knowledge. They demonstrate good listening skills and have an analytical approach to identifying problems and potential solutions.

This role is based in Amsterdam and applicants must be fluent in Dutch and English.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively manages the coordination of deadlines to support the team
• Prepares for and participates in client meetings, ensuring all appropriate materials/reports are ready
• Takes responsibility for coordinating meeting minutes, tracking actions and following up with team members accordingly
• Compiles regular analysis and summary reports for clients and new business opportunities
• Regularly provides teams with competitor, stakeholder and sector intelligence
• Collaborates with other European offices as well as global locations

 

Basic requirements

• For Associate Consultants, one to two years of experience in strategic communications and/or public affairs
• For Consultants, over two years of professional experience in strategic communications and/or public affairs with proven capabilities of managing projects and/or accounts

• A structured and analytical writing style; excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A strong interest in strategic communications and public affairs
• An eagerness to learn and develop / leverage your skillset in a fast-paced environment
• A proactive and self-starting attitude
• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree
• Professional proficiency in both Dutch and English
• Evidence of great collaboration/working as part of a team

 

Preferred requirements

• Experience in conducting research and generating insights for new business
• Ability to manage multiple client projects
• Reliable and responsive with a positive attitude and willingness to get involved
• A Bachelor or Master’s degree in a relevant area such as economics, law, political, social, or communication sciences. Other backgrounds are welcome to apply as well.
