Assistant Manager/Senior Assistant Manager, Internship

The role serves as both an individual contributor and deputises for the Team Manager in administering designated internship programmes under the NTU Career & Attachment Office’s Internship team. The team facilitates internships for all NTU undergraduates to enhance their career readiness. It aims to improve internship participation and experiences for both students and host organisations by providing a unified platform for engagement, communication, and support.

Programme Operations and Service Management

  • Plan and execute internship programmes ahead of each cycle and manage the end-to-end operational processes to facilitate internship placements of assigned placement.

  • Engage with NTU’s internship partnering companies to ensure timely provision of internship opportunities for student applications.

  • Monitor and manage students’ credit bearing internship placement outcomes and support students throughout their internship journey, including resolving any issues that may arise.

  • Achieve credit bearing internship placement’s target assigned.

  • Oversee the completion of internship assessments and process scoring submissions at the end of each internship cycle.

Accounts & Stakeholders Management

  • Engage key stakeholders, including students, faculty members, and internship partnering companies, to foster strong collaboration and communication.

  • Collaborate with faculties, relevant NTU Offices and Career Coaches to ensure the provision of necessary support for students’ readiness for internship and their wellbeing during internship.

  • Collaborate with the respective Industry Relations Consultant(s) to achieve optimal internship opportunities. 

Team Management

  • Deputise and support the Team Manager to maintain continuity of operations and overcome potential changes and challenges.

  • Collaborate across intra-teams to drive optimal operational performance through strong partnerships and coordinated efforts.

Performance Reporting Supervision and Management

  • Generate, collate and process data for tracking and reporting.

  • Analyse data and identify insights that support continuous improvement of the programme and planning.

Ad hoc Projects and Initiatives

  • Lead and play a key contributing role in projects and initiative that aim to drive the continuous improvement of the internship facilitation workflow, stakeholder management, team competencies and the adoption of innovative technologies.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university. Candidates with a polytechnic diploma and extensive relevant work experience are welcome to apply.

  • At least 5 years of experience in internship/training management, human resources, public service, or the education sector is preferred.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • A collaborative team player who contributes actively to team success.

  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  • Demonstrated passion for supporting youth in their career journeys, with a genuine interest in helping them navigate and overcome internship challenges.

  • Comfortable with managing structured processes and adhering to established policies and administrative frameworks.
