Assistant Manager, Strategic & Corporate Planning

[What the role is]

Support the organisation’s strategic and corporate planning processes, including corporate planning activities, enterprise risk management and senior management support.

[What you will be working on]

You will support the strategic & corporate planning process to ensure alignment with organisation’s direction and intent. You will need to collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to:-

  • Support the formulation and implementation of SLA’s organisational goals and priorities
  • Support SLA’s corporate planning processes (i.e. organising of workplan seminar, management retreats, division workplan sessions etc.)
  • Support SLA’s strategic funding resourcing needs to meet current and future organisational needs
  • Assist in the review and execution of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework, including identification of emerging risks, conducting risk reviews, risk reporting and risk awareness and training initiatives across SLA
  • Perform secretariat roles to support senior management, when required
  • Support ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned

[What we are looking for]

  • Candidate in Business Administration, Public Administration, Strategic Management, or related field
  • Minimum 2 - 3 years of experience in strategic planning, corporate planning, or management consulting
  • Strong written and verbal communication, project management skills with the ability to engage and work across diverse stakeholders
  • Able to synthesise complex information from multiple sources into clear and concise materials for senior management
  • Proficient in preparing senior management-ready materials (e.g. clear slide narratives, concise content and impactful visuals)
  • Highly motivated, proactive, independent and a team player
  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Comfortable operating in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information
  • Experience working within the public sector and statutory board environment is preferred
  • Familiarity with data analysis and visualisation tools is an added advantage
