POSITION SUMMARY:
The Assistant Manager, Public Relations takes a proactive, strategic and leading role in formulating and executing a Public Relations plan with appealing and well-crafted media angles, tactics and media selection, ranging from conventional print & broadcast media to digital/online media and bloggers, so as to create "top of mind" preference of the property and its related brands among other market players, to promote the awareness of respective offerings, to sustain media/public interest in an engaging manner, and ultimately to enhance goodwill/brand equity of the Company.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Together with the Vice President and Director of Public Relations, develops long-term and short-term Public Relations strategies, media angles, tactical Public Relations programs and communication policies to optimize media return, and to promote awareness for the property and its related brands.
2. Maintains effective professional relationships with key media to maximize positive publicity for City of Dreams and its related brands.
3. Prepares press releases for tactical public relations campaigns on CSR, hotel, food and beverage, spa and entertainment promos, industry awards and recognitions. etc.
4. Aligns key messaging with Melco Corporate and concerned Marketing and Business Units.
5. Responds in a timely manner to media enquiries.
6. Supports Public Relations logistics such as media visits, familiarization tours, press kit productions, media pictorials and video shoots. etc.
7. Performs tasks and/or fulfill responsibilities that may be assigned by management and/or immediate superior as the business operations requires.
QUALIFICATIONS:
I. Experience
1. Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in the same or equivalent capacity in a marketing, PR or media entity, preferably as a writer or communications staff
2. Preferably with experience in casino or hospitality industry.
II. Education
Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or any equivalent is preferred.
