What this job involves: This position oversees day-to-day facility operations and strategic project management for high-rise office buildings. The role requires exceptional analytical and communication skills, combining big-picture thinking with detailed execution. You'll work directly with senior leadership and maintain close client relationships while managing a team of 3-6 direct reports. This position demands executive presence, strong accountability, and the ability to deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Overseeing daily facility operations including maintenance, repairs, cleanliness, security, and client experience management

• Managing program schedules, priorities, and risks to ensure on-time completion of team deliverables

• Leading facility-related projects from inception to completion, including scope development, budgeting, and resource allocation

• Collaborating closely with Chief and Assistant Chief Engineers and frequently interacting with client C-suite executives

• Identifying and managing external vendors and contractors, evaluating performance and negotiating contracts

• Developing high-quality client presentations and managing client-specific queries in verbal and written form

• Coordinating space planning and office relocations, including furniture installation and IT equipment setup

• Developing and managing facility budgets including capital expenditures, operating expenses, and project costs

• Ensuring compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards while conducting regular inspections

Desired experience and technical skills:

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field

• Proven experience in facility management with project management focus, particularly in Class A high-rise office buildings

• Strong knowledge of construction, building systems, and facility maintenance

• Excellent project management skills with ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects

• Experience in vendor and contract management

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred:

• Proficient in facility management software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Experience working as trusted advisor with senior client stakeholders

• Background in change management and organizational transition processes

• Experience with emergency response planning and safety management programs

Estimated compensation for this position:

170,000.00 – 195,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
