Job Description Summary 

Experienced, functional area expert with technical and/or business knowledge and functional expertise. Responsible for providing comprehensive support to stakeholders to identify, understand, and deliver business and technology solutions. Serves as a consultant for designing and supporting business process solutions on moderately complex projects or programs. Helps oversee the definition, review, and validation of delivery artifacts and supports strategy and direction in achieving business results, while ensuring alignment with Release Management processes and System Delivery Acquisition and Maintenance (SDAM) standards and controls. 

 

Job Description 

Major Duties : 

Provides comprehensive technical support in planning and monitoring the activities that are necessary to complete a business analysis effort and delivery readiness efforts, including alignment to release management and SDAM requirements 

 

Supports SDAM compliance activities, including:reviewing and validating delivery and deployment artifacts for completeness, accuracy, and alignment to SDAM standards and controls  

 

Partnering with ITSM Release Management and delivery teams to support release readiness and gating activities  

 

Assisting teams in understanding required documentation, approvals, and evidence expectations  

 

Reviews and assesses required SDAM deployment artifacts and ensures artifacts meet required standards, controls, and approval requirements prior to release or deployment 

 

Identifies gaps, risks, or issues related to requirements, controls, or documentation and works with stakeholders to resolve or remediate concerns to ensure alignment on solution scope and delivery readiness. 

 

Responsible for understanding and clarifying for others SDAM control requirements to ensure solutions are feasible and compliant 

 

Supports solutions that can be feasibly implemented while meeting governance and compliance expectations 

 

Designs and proposes solutions or process improvements that best fit business needs, identifies gaps or shortcomings, and determines necessary workarounds or changes to support compliant and efficient delivery 

 

Applies industry standards, SDAM guidance, and internal best practices to support consistent, auditready documentation and delivery outcomes 

 

 

Knowledge : 

  • Working knowledge of release management and deployment processes, SDAM standards and Governance, technology delivery controls and documentation requirements  

  • General experience working with code source management to understand the impact of code merges 

  • General experience reviewing or supporting delivery artifacts related to testing, code security, system access, and data controls 

  • Understand change quality and process adherence  

  • Strong analytical, documentation review, and communication skills 

  • Supports moderately complex initiatives while continuing to build expertise 

  • Applies established standards, processes, and controls with limited supervision 

  • Escalates complex or ambiguous issues appropriately 

  • Proficient in Service Now 

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required 

  • In-depth knowledge of business analysis / Industry Knowledge is required 

  • Highly flexible and adaptable to change 

  • Leadership and organizational skills are required to help align with the Business Unit's goals. 
     
    Experience : 

College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience is required. Demonstrates excellent experience in change initiatives, with a track record of accomplishment in large, complex projects. 

Salary Range:

$95,600 - 162,400 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
