We are looking for you to join our team as the ASIC Design - Digital Engineering Section Lead to join our Digital Technologies (DT) organization. The Digital Technologies team within Baltimore and Partnered Sites (BaPS) Engineering organization is responsible for the staffing and development of Digital Engineers. This position is based out of Linthicum, MD and will be 100% on-site.
What You'll Get to Do:
Lead a cross‑functional engineering organization of approximately 5–7 managers and 65–75 indirect engineers, providing strategic direction for performance management, career development, staffing, and merit‑planning initiatives.
Direct management and consultation of the ASIC teams Technical Leadership.
Provide project and technical oversight for the work performed by the team.
Ensure awareness and implementation of the Northrop Grumman ASIC design process.
Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, documentation, and design quality.
Promote team building through coaching, mentoring, and career development.
Develop and review proposal content in response to identified business capture opportunities.
Collaborate with peers to maintain consistency across the engineering organization
Assess program staffing needs, craft and post targeted requisitions, and lead the full recruitment cycle—directing interviews and securing top engineering talent.
Develop and maintain the ASIC Development strategy through engagement with the Profit and Loss (P&L) centers and understanding industry trends.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience, master's degree with 6 years of experience or Ph.D. with 4 years of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical fields.
U.S Citizenship is required.
A final DoD Secret Clearance is required to start.
Experience leading teams through Digital ASIC Development.
Understanding of the complete ASIC development lifecycle—including requirements definition, design and implementation, and lab‑based design verification testing.
Hands on experience with the ASIC Development flow.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics or other related technical fields.
A current / active DoD Secret Clearance or higher.
Experience with Government funded ASIC development programs.
Experience with Digital Signal Processing and algorithm development.
Experience with real-time embedded systems development and testing.
Experience with firmware / FPGA development.

Primary Level Salary Range: $184,300.00 - $276,500.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
