The Information Systems Intern will support the analysis and improvement of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design within CTTS, the primary application used to manage Mobile Visit operations at EmVenio. Working collaboratively with the Application Development team and Enterprise Digital Solutions, the intern will assess business needs, evaluate current system usage, and recommend design enhancements aimed at increasing usability, workflow efficiency, and visual consistency. The intern will lead a UX/UI discovery process and produce a comprehensive report of findings and recommendations for IS and organizational leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS
Currently enrolled in a college or university program
Pursuing a degree related to Information Systems, UX/UI Design, Computer Science, Business Systems, or similar
Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams
Detail oriented, dependable, and able to follow established procedures oriented, dependable, and able to follow established procedures
Demonstrated interest in user experience, system design, or workflow analysis
Flexible, adaptable, and motivated to learn
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
CTTS User Experience Analysis
Conduct a thorough assessment of how approximately 200 users across multiple departments interact with CTTS.
Review user interaction with custom objects, page layouts, process flows, and overall system navigation.
Identify workflow inefficiencies, user pain points, and areas contributing to errors or incomplete data entry.
UX/UI Research and Design Recommendations
Evaluate the existing interface for usability, visual consistency, and alignment with best practices.
Research industry standards and UX/UI methodologies to support proposed improvements.
Develop mockups, revised page layouts, and redesigned user flows that enhance system usability.
Provide evidence-based recommendations to improve productivity, reduce user frustration, and support consistent adoption of new CTTS features based recommendations to improve productivity, reduce user frustration, and support consistent adoption of new CTTS features.
Cross-Functional Collaboration Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Application Development, Enterprise Digital Solutions, and business stakeholders to understand operational needs and system requirements.
Incorporate business needs, technical constraints, and user feedback into proposed design solutions.
Facilitate communication between departments to ensure recommendations align with organizational priorities.
Reporting and Presentation
Prepare a formal “CTTS UX Discovery & Recommendations” report summarizing research, analysis, and proposed design enhancements.
Present findings and recommendations to Information Systems leadership and relevant EmVenio stakeholders.
Other Responsibilities
Perform additional duties necessary to support system improvement initiatives.
The typical base pay range for this role is USD $26,000 - $26,000 per year.
