Position Summary

CVS Health/Aetna is seeking a Application Development and Database manager to support the Regulatory Review Team (RRT) and the Product & Regulatory Approvals (P&RA) team to improve department efficiency by designing, building and maintaining QuickBase applications, functionality, pages, reports, and dashboards. This individual is responsible for the full life cycle of complex QuickBase application development. Must be skilled at listening to business need and designing solutions, then taking solution through the development lifecycle while providing ongoing technical support and mentoring. Teams will rely on application developer to assess their needs and deliver usable tools, tracking, and reporting. This role involves forecasting departmental changes, analyzing regulatory complaint trends, prioritizing innovation opportunities, allocating team resources, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure accurate and insightful reporting aligned with business objectives.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Design new QuickBase applications and enhance and maintain existing QuickBase applications based on business need to streamline processes and improve efficiencies for the business.

  • Build and maintain SharePoint sites to meet department needs.

  • Maintain existing departmental applications.

  • Simplify, streamline and improve efficiencies for the department.

  • Collaborate with colleagues for direction, listen and walk in their shoes.

  • Design intuitive technology solutions with end users in mind.

  • Collaborate with application owner and user team to understand requirements for new and changed applications.

  • Use E2E technology life cycle to build and launch a new application with close collaboration with SME users. Listen to needs and requirements of the user, document requirements, develop and present possible solutions, perform testing, perform user testing, launch, participate or lead training of the new tool. Provide documentation as needed. Keep workgroup apprised of status and timing.

  • Provide user support and data queries, mentor users on how to pull data for reporting.

  • Ensure data security. Validate data integrity.

  • Research and consult on appropriate application solutions. Stay apprised of new and emerging technology.

  • Consult and advise management on state of our current technology and provide insight on our future technology solutions based on department goals and mission.

  • Support internal and external business partner’s data needs in addition to senior leadership with regard to reporting, data extracts, etc.

  • Identify and implement ways to streamline practice, increase efficiency and reduce cost.

  • Provide timely and effective communication to constituents.

  • In order to be successful in this role you must exhibit the following:

  • Familiarity with QuickBase APIs, and integration tools.

  • Experience with data visualization platforms like Tableau or    Power BI.

  • Strong understanding of statistical methods, predictive modeling, and machine learning.

  • Ability to work with large datasets and perform data cleaning and transformation.

  • Experience with data import/export.

  • Familiarity with ETL processes, and data normalization.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of prior relevant work experience.

3+ Project management experience.

3+ years of Microsoft applications, Advanced-level Excel skills (pivot tables, power query, advanced charting and formulas).

2+ years of hands-on experience with QuickBase, including application development and application support. Strong experience creating custom reports, dashboards, and formula fields in QuickBase.

Preferred Qualifications

3+ Advanced SharePoint Column Formulas, Nintex Forms, Power Automate / PowerApps.

2+ years JavaScript.

2+ years of Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, R, or SAS.

Certifications in analytics tools or platforms (e.g., Tableau Certified, Google Data Analytics).


Education

Bachelors degree in computer science, computer programming, or related field required or equivalent years of relevant experience.

    Pay Range

    The typical pay range for this role is:

    $60,300.00 - $145,860.00

    This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
