About the role:

The Cybersecurity Analyst I (WAF) supports the protection of the organization’s web applications by monitoring, maintaining, and tuning Web Application Firewall technologies. This role is ideal for candidates early in their cybersecurity career who have a strong technical foundation and a desire to grow into advanced application security roles.

What you will be doing:

  • Monitor WAF alerts, logs, and dashboards to identify potential threats, anomalies, or malicious activity.
  • Assist in tuning WAF rules and policies to reduce false positives while maintaining strong security coverage.
  • Support incident response activities related to web application attacks (e.g., SQL injection, XSS, bot traffic).
  • Perform initial triage of security events and escalate issues according to established procedures.
  • Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure secure deployment of web applications.
  • Participate in routine health checks, configuration reviews, and updates for WAF platforms.
  • Help maintain compliance with internal security policies and external regulatory requirements.

What you will need:

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in Cyber security
  • Shift timing is 11 AM to 8 PM IST
  • Foundational understanding of web technologies (HTTP/S, DNS, APIs, load balancers).
  • Basic knowledge of common web application vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10).
  • Familiarity with security tools such as SIEMs, IDS/IPS, or WAF platforms (e.g., Cloudflare, Akamai, F5, Imperva).
  • Ability to analyze logs and identify suspicious patterns or behaviors.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Willingness to participate in on‑call rotations or after‑hours support when required.
