As an Analyst I – Commodity Sourcing, you will support senior-level analysts on sourcing and contracting activities for Cleveland Clinic through product and service analysis. This position assists in the identification of sourcing opportunities including cost savings, value creation, and risk management. Participates in contract negotiations and supports sourcing strategies under the direction of senior-level sourcing team members. You will also be responsible for data management and maintenance in assigned categories. By taking this opportunity, you will work on a hybrid schedule combining remote work and 1-2 days of in-person work each week.   
 

A caregiver in this position works on a hybrid schedule Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm, with 1-2 days per week at Cleveland Clinic Administrative Campus following the two-week new hire training period. 

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

  • Supports category team in identifying sourcing opportunities, including cost savings, value creation, and risk management. 

  • Requests quotations from existing vendors and reviews against applicable criteria such as quality, price, product availability, distribution method, risk, etc. 

  • Perform data analysis for assigned less complex spend categories. 

  • Performs data maintenance to ensure the validity of the category team’s data. 

  • Collaborate with senior level analysts on contract negotiations and projects. 

  • Meet with team to identify contract negotiations and other savings opportunities. Initiates requests for quotations and reviews incoming bids for best price, availability of stock, price protection, consignment and other alternatives. 

  • Meet with sales representatives to evaluate new products or services available. Supports manager by performing data analysis and preparing reports on category performance. 

  • Remain current regarding significant developments concerning goods and services purchased; reviews advertising literature, trade journals and other sources of product and service information. 

  • Maintain the proper and appropriate professional and ethical relationships with all vendor representatives, conduct business according to established principles and guidelines. 

  • Maintain excellence in customer service. 

 

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • Bachelor's Degree in supply chain management, transportation and logistics, Business or a related field required 

  • High School diploma/GED and four years of relevant in a hospital setting can substitute work experience.  

  • Associate’s degree and two years of relevant experience in a healthcare setting can substitute work experience. 

  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. 

  • Must possess analytical skills and knowledge of PC computer programs to perform spreadsheet analysis and data extraction.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
