Job Summary: Airway Transportation System Specialist (ATSS) at this level is recognized as the principal expert in their field. They are also responsible for various auxiliary duties that contribute to providing reliable and safe FAA services to the flying public.
Major Duties:
Qualifications: To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess specialized experience equivalent to FV-I, FG/GS-13 in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. Specialized Experience includes: Candidates must have experience that demonstrates the extensive knowledge of and experience in NAS system interrelationships and management of civilian or military automated aviation, navigation and electronics systems. Generally, experience at the next lower level (Pay Band I/Level IV or equivalent), meets the minimum qualifications for this position as long as the experience supports the Demonstrated Abilities. IAW the Promotion Criteria Guidance for the Airway Facilities (AF) specialized workforce dated 2012, the Demonstrated Abilities are mandatory.
