The Site Manager is responsible for full ownership of a Baggage Handling System (BHS) operation at an airport site. This role leads all aspects of site performance, including team leadership, customer relationship management, financial oversight, and technical operations. The Site Manager serves as the primary point of contact for the airport authority and is accountable for delivering high-quality service in a demanding, highly visible environment.
YOUR IMPACT

Provide overall leadership of site operations, including direct oversight of technicians, electricians, and support staff in a lean team environment
Manage all administrative and financial responsibilities for the site, including payroll, invoicing, and tracking of billable labor and parts
Own the monthly billing process by preparing and submitting detailed invoices for labor, subcontractors, and parts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Maintain strong customer relationships with airport authorities, serving as the primary point of contact and managing expectations in a highly demanding environment
Lead day-to-day BHS operations, ensuring system uptime and making real-time decisions on equipment repairs, replacements, or temporary fixes
Oversee inventory and parts management, including regular cycle counts, CMMS reconciliation, and proactive ordering to support preventative and corrective maintenance
Ensure all contract requirements are fulfilled, including reporting, documentation, and service level expectations
Promote and enforce a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with all company and regulatory safety standards
Develop and mentor team members, creating a collaborative, respectful, and high-performing work environment
Coordinate work schedules, manage labor utilization, and ensure appropriate coverage for operational needs
Respond to operational issues and emergencies, maintaining continuity of service and minimizing downtime
Maintain accurate records of site activity, including labor tracking, parts usage, and operational reporting
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Valid Driver’s License
Ten years of supervisory or managerial experience at a large hub airport
Experience managing customer relationships in a high-demand, service-driven environment
Experience with payroll, invoicing, and operational reporting
Ability to obtain necessary airport security clearance
STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS
Direct experience with Baggage Handling Systems (BHS) or similar conveyor-based systems
Strong understanding of maintenance operations, including preventative and corrective maintenance practices
Experience managing inventory, parts tracking, and CMMS systems
Demonstrated ability to balance technical troubleshooting with administrative and leadership responsibilities
Proven ability to make sound decisions under pressure in a fast-paced operational environment
Experience working in environments with high customer visibility and accountability
Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development, accountability, and culture-building
Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage complex customer interactions professionally
Work Environment
Office, baggage conveyor systems near moving machinery, active airport ramps, vehicles, and aircraft. This role requires the ability to work in various environments, including outdoors and in confined spaces around aircraft and conveyor systems.
Physical Requirements
Capable of lifting and moving up to 49 pounds. Agility to work in physically demanding environments as required by airport operations.

Pay Range:
$82,900.00 - $134,300.00The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
