Job Summary: THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a AIRCRAFT MECHANIC SUPERVISOR, Position Description Number and is part of the CO Army Aviation Support Facility, National Guard. The purpose of this position is to supervise workers, either directly or through one or more subordinate leaders and/or supervisors, in accomplishing the operations of a distinct organizational unit and to perform associated nonsupervisory work.
Major Duties:
Qualifications: Military Grades: E-6 or E-7 Compatible Military Assignment: 15T,15U, or 15R MOS 1. Specialized experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. 2. You will be immediately disqualified if you fail to include specialized experience in your resume. Must have at least 36 months of experience in each of the following: 1. Experience performing, coordinating, and/or overseeing the work and any periodic inspections to be done on an aircraft whether it is alone, or with the assistance of other mechanics and/or workers. 2. Experience coordinating the work of other journey-level workers in other trades to work simultaneously on the aircraft. 3. Experience serving as the technical authority to advise on, examine, and approve all airframe, mechanical, electrical, and pneudraulic repairs of assigned aircraft. 4. Experience which demonstrates the ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments for lower grade personnel. 5. Experience which required the review of work requirements and establish priorities to meet deadlines. 6. Experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communicate knowledge of general supervisory concepts, and knowledge of shop processes. 7. Experience in adapting existing equipment and techniques to new situations. Preferred experience: - Possess an FAA A&P License. - UH72A or B OEM/WAATS Qualification preferred. - A minimum of 7 years continuous rotor craft maintenance experience. - A minimum of 5 years of LUH maintenance experience.
