The Opportunity

This is a Technical Lead position and the MTF IT Director is expected to perform both Managerial and Lead tasks for the enclave(s). This includes the direction of contract personnel onboard and act as a liaison between the staff and Military counterpart. All aspects of MTF IT and COMMS operation are under the auspice of the MTF IT Director and that person is directly responsible for the operation, performance, and maintenance of all IT systems.

Responsibilities


On-site IT leadership for the contracting and military teams.

Attend meetings with and for MSC and the ship to provide SME insight and opinions and disseminate vital information to MSC personnel.

Support Executive Staff with SME support.

Develop, track and report on monthly events and deliverables along with planned projects and milestone progress.

Provide on-site data center engineering support.

SME for all IT related functions aboard the Hospital Ship.

Overall responsibility for all network resources, architecture, changes, and growth.

Assistance with management and troubleshooting of all systems on both UNCLAS and CLAS networks.

Position will deploy/embark aboard the hospital ship for assigned Missions and out-of-state Shipyard periods. Contractor must maintain the ability to be deployable within 5 days (Ready 5 status) of activation. The hospital ship can be underway for 6 months or longer depending on the assigned Mission. You must be willing to deploy with the ship as embedded contractor support staff for that duration.

Qualifications

Required:

Must currently possess a valid U.S. Government SECRET security clearance and be TOP SECRET/SCI eligible for privileged access.

Must be a US Citizen & fluent in English.

At least 10 years of experience in Enterprise level IT administration.

At least 2 years of Healthcare Informatics administration/support.

Demonstrated expertise and Leadership in all IT disciplines and Expeditionary Healthcare Operations, such as but not limited to: Data Center, Network, Systems, Cybersecurity, and Management Level competencies. Required to be able to brief and provide concise and accurate information relating to IT and COMMS operations to the Commanding Officer of the MTF and others as designated. This position is expected to be able to perform the role and function of all other IT positions and will be the duty SME on all systems.

Key Personnel: Shall be committed to the project for its duration and cannot be substituted or replaced without the written agreement of the Contracting Officer.

Must possess a current IAT II or III certification (CompTIA Security+, CASP+) applicable with this position. Additionally, Microsoft Certification (MCA-Server Hybrid Associate or Higher), RedHat Certification (RHCE), Nutanix Certification (NCA, NCP), Cisco Certification (CCNA, CCNP), PaloAlto Certification (NSP, SOP), Forescout Certification (FCSA, FCSE) are considered and highly recommended.

Candidate must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to effectively communicate and provide reports on daily efforts.

Must be able to work effectively with Healthcare Providers including Foreign Nationals.

The individual must also be able to work well under pressure, multi-task, and prioritize items as needed.

Must be able to deploy on short notice for extended periods of time.

Must be able to lift and carry loads of 50lbs or more and climb steep ladders and staircases.

Personnel shall complete required DoW, DoN, and MSC security training as applicable, to include SERE Level B, ISOPREP, Cyber Awareness, and other related training, within 90 days of award, or within 5 days of departing designated homeport, whichever is sooner.

Must have or obtain a non-diplomatic United States Passport with at least one year remaining before expiration, as this contract will require personnel to deploy at sea in foreign waters. (This can be obtained after hire within 30 days.)

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$75,200-$158,100
