Transurban

Agile Project Coordinator

Melbourne CBD & Inner Suburbs Melbourne VIC Full time

Working at Transurban is different; it’s a place where you can see the benefits of your work play out in real life, every day. We create city-sized solutions—building and operating safer, smarter, and more sustainable roads—to solve pressing transport challenges that are slowing cities down.

About the role

We’re seeking an Agile Project Coordinator on a 12 month fixed-term contract, to support the seamless delivery of program activities and enable efficient Agile ways of working across the team.

You’ll join an innovative team, who thrive in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment and are committed to continuous improvement and delivering meaningful outcomes.

As our Agile Project Coordinator, you’ll contribute to lasting and positive changes that shape the future of our cities and communities. It’s meaningful, challenging and exciting work.

Day-to-day, you will:

  • Support planning and coordination of Agile program activities, including ceremonies and maintaining delivery tools such as Jira and Confluence

  • Provide administrative and operational support, including diary management, onboarding coordination, organising meetings, expenses management and taking minutes

  • Manage project reporting, including accurate timesheet management, monthly reporting cycles, financial tracking, and updates for leadership

  • Monitor team capacity, sprint progress, and delivery timelines, escalating risks or blockers when needed

  • Maintain key program documentation, including project plans, timelines, and risk/issue registers, ensuring information remains accurate and up to date

  • Support Agile ways of working by helping the team maintain delivery rhythms and creating shared knowledge resources, guides, and training materials

  • Support the team in an Agile environment, contributing to collaborative ways of working, helping maintain delivery rhythms (such as stand‑ups and sprint cycles), and fostering a positive, solutions‑focused team culture

This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:

  • Must have 2+ years of experience in an Agile project support or coordination role

  • Strong organisational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines and stakeholders effectively

  • Experience working in fast‑paced and dynamic environments and comfortable navigating changing priorities while supporting multiple teams

  • Proficiency with digital collaboration tools – such as project management systems, shared documentation platforms, or workflow tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Figma, Asana)

  • Highly adaptable and versatile with the ability to work across varied tasks and thrive in an evolving Agile environment similar to a start‑up

  • Effective communication and stakeholder‑management skills with the ability to share accurate information, follow up and build strong working relationships across teams

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with the capability to identify issues, interpret data and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

If you meet some of these requirements, but not all, we encourage you to submit your application.

With a career at Transurban, you’ll enjoy a range of benefits, including:

  • A range of flexible working options

  • 16 weeks paid parental leave (regardless of gender or carer status), with no waiting period, available for the duration of the contract, with Superannuation paid during unpaid leave as well

  • Learning and development opportunities to support your career interests

  • Health and wellbeing support—access to Headspace and our EAP program, wellness facilities, and more

  • Social activities and groups

We offer a range of flexible working and leave options, so you can balance your work and life commitments and interests. Have a conversation with us about how this could work for you.

We embrace diversity with a foundation of safety, wellbeing and inclusion; where everyone belongs. We treat everyone with fairness, consideration and respect, regardless of gender, gender identity, marital or family status, sexual orientation, age, ethnicity, religious beliefs, cultural or socio-economic background, perspective, and experience – whether they work for us or not. We want to ensure everyone feels comfortable and safe to express ideas, questions and concerns.
