As an Administrative Officer, you will: Be responsible for obtaining or directly providing services that result in the maximum effectiveness of facilities, telecommunications, printing services, mail management, records management, transportation management, supplies and equipment, and safety, health and security. Ensure the highest level of collaboration among all administrative staff, both on-site and remote, and, as needed, non-administrative staffs to satisfy the administrative needs in the field office(s). Serve as a member of a team of administrative specialists responsible for identifying and recommending solutions or improvements to the delivery of services. Be responsible for the planning, budgeting and administration of administrative funds assigned to the office(s), ensuring spending is contained within local sub assignments and authority. Be responsible for purchasing and contracting activities of supplies and services within delegated authority. In conjunction with these activities, works with appropriate staff to facilitate the obligation of funds and the payment of invoices.

Qualifications: You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience: For the GS-13, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: Experience performing administrative activities and operational functions of a program office; AND Experience observing management activities within an office to identify issues and make recommendations for improvement. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week on your resume. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-13 you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks. Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
