Job Description

Under supervision of the Director of First-Year Experience, the Administrative Coordinator I supports the Office of First-Year Experience by providing clerical assistance such as scheduling meetings, monitoring the office’s budget, assisting with hiring processes for student and professional staff/faculty, and event planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical information regarding administrative procedures, services, office hours or programs.  

  • Assists in the monthly reconciliation process.  

  • Applies and interprets, and/or assists in implementing policies or operating practices.   

  • Develops administrative and technical procedures as needed.   

  • Researches, interprets, compiles, and responds to inquiries about rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.   

  • Assists in monitoring compliance with policies and procedures.  

  • Coordinates travel arrangements and prepares itineraries.   

  • Coordinates meetings, seminars, and other special events, and may provide on-site support.  

  • Coordinates the maintenance of files, records, office supplies, or equipment.  

  • Supports the student administrative staff in the Office of First-Year Experience.   

  • Manages the Office of First-Year Experience front desk and clerical duties.   

  • Attends monthly and bi-monthly budget and HR meetings.   

  • Performs other duties as assigned.  

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in related field.

  • Two (2) years of related experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge and experience utilizing Microsoft suite.

  • Ability to multitask, work cooperatively with others and prioritize tasks.

  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Planning and organization skills.

  • Experience with office management.
