Job Description

Under the supervision of the Director of the Student Academic Success Center, this position is responsible for providing the administrative support necessary to maintain the day-to-day operations of the office.

The salary is determined in accordance with the University’s compensation structure and will be commensurate with the candidates’ education and experience, within the assigned salary range for this position.

Responsibilities:  

  • Manages complex data, general and confidential correspondence, special legislative and accreditation documents, regulatory and compliance reports as required of internal and external entities.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to execute necessary financial transactions (i.e. FAMIS, Canopy, BANNER, Workday and DBRs).

  • Screen telephone calls and visitors, maintain notes in order to brief the Director on the status of outcomes of external communications. Supervise student workers who perform office duties (i.e. front desk staff).

  • Provide excellent customer service for the Student Academic Success Center using sound, independent judgement to refer student complaints and courses of action that are within the University's policies, rules and procedures.

  • Plan and schedule meetings; provide staff support for meetings; prepare and type summaries of events, decisions and actions to be taken; monitor and follow up on action items; maintain calendar of appointments; coordinate and make travel arrangements; ensuring that the Director's time is efficiently appointed. 

Required Education & Experience:

  • High School diploma

  • Three years of related experience

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.

  • Knowledge of student information systems, degree planning, and degree audits.

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
