The Property Management Department consists of four divisions including Facilities Management, Fleet Services, Real Property and General Services. The Department is seeking to hire a qualified professional to fill an Administrative Assistant position within the General Services Division. This position will report to the Senior Management Analyst of the General Services Division. Property Management is a large, fast paced, and rewarding department that is responsible for a wide array of services including: maintenance of the majority of City facilities, maintaining the City’s fleet, land and property acquisitions including right-of-way and easement acquisitions. The Department is seeking someone to perform a wide variety of routine fiscal, administrative and technical tasks, as well as coordinate administrative support for the Fleet Division. The Fleet Division keeps the City equipment and vehicles in a mechanically sound state and safe for all employees and residents.
The ideal candidate must have the ability to work in a diverse work environment, be a self-starter, able to take initiative over work tasks, highly organized, detail oriented and adaptable to changing situations. The ideal candidate will also have experience with different types of governmental purchase mechanisms such as credit cards, single one-time payments, purchase orders, and contract purchases. Candidate must be able to evaluate current processes for improvement and efficiency recommendation(s).
