This is a remote position reporting to the Associate Director of Informatics. As Actuary, Analytics/Forecasting Lead, you will analyze and forecast financial, economic, and other data to provide accurate information for strategic and operational decisions. You will establish metrics, provide data analyses and work directly to support business intelligence. You will evaluate industry, economic, financial, and market trends to forecast our short, medium and long-term financial and competitive position. The Actuary, Analytics/Forecasting works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.
The Actuary, Analytics/Forecasting Lead ensures data integrity by developing necessary processes and controls around the flow of data. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand our needs/issues, troubleshoot problems, conduct root cause analysis, model the impact of interventions, and develops cost-effective resolutions for strategic priorities. Advise executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Make decisions on complex issues regarding job responsibilities and related tasks. Analyze variable factors to determine the best course of action.
- Lead a team of three (3) actuarial associates overseeing the delivery of targeted analytics, financial modeling, and reporting to support value-based contracting and home health initiatives.
- Influence strategy of value-based contracting including who we contract with, how the contracts are set up, and what methodologies are used for value based payments.
- Research areas of opportunities for value-based home health providers to improve their performance.
- Design and implement models to estimate financial impact of provider contracts, terminations, and repricing initiatives, driving savings and operational efficiency.
- Present relevant insights to senior leadership to ensure data-driven decisions are focused on value-based initiatives and cost savings opportunities.
- Conduct scenario analysis and cost projections supporting the development of long-term strategic plans.

Role Essentials
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 7 or more years of actuarial experience.
- Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) or Associate of Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation.
- Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA).
- Experience in modeling and/or reporting and analysis or trending and forecasting.
- Proficiency with SQL, SAS, or Pyspark.
- Team player and customer-focused mindset.
Role Desirables
- Experience in more than two functions (e.g., modeling, pricing, rate filing, reporting and analysis, reserving or trending).
- Value-based contracting experience.
- Experience with home health.
- Management experience.
Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$129,300 - $177,800 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
