The Experience Analytics Shared Service Center (XPSSC) plays a pivotal role supporting business units in their monitoring and experience study capabilities, as well as ensuring the Asia segment is future ready to adopt new technology, support sustainable quality growth in Asia, and our strategic priority of using AI to reimagine how we work and create value. The Actuarial Analyst/Actuarial Specialist – Emerging Markets will support the modernization initiatives for emerging markets. This includes initially supporting ADM (Actuarial Data Modernization), PBI monitoring dashboards build and subsequently conducting end to end study analysis for studies, monitoring and forecasting.
Position Responsibilities:
Support end‑to‑end emerging markets experience studies (lapse, mortality, morbidity), including preparing datasets, running A/E calculations, validating inputs, performing slice‑and‑dice analytics, and drafting initial findings.
Assist in quarterly and monthly experience monitoring using EA PBI dashboards—identify trends, anomalies, and drivers to support senior analysts and the Actuarial Manager.
Perform data quality checks, reconciliations, and controls to ensure accuracy, completeness, and audit‑readiness of study outputs.
Contribute to ADM (Actuarial Data Modernization) initiatives by supporting data onboarding, validation, and ingestion processes using standardized XPSSC frameworks.
Help build and maintain study templates, documentation packs, and control logs to ensure consistency across markets.
Participate in process automation efforts leveraging analytics tools and emerging AI‑enabled workflows.
Work closely with XPSSC actuarial staff, IT/data teams, RAS/GFA, and BU actuaries to resolve data issues, refine methodologies, and improve monitoring insights.
Assist in preparing presentations, dashboards, and communication materials for BU experience teams and regional stakeholders.
Support continuous improvement by documenting learnings, enhancing repeatable processes, and identifying opportunities to streamline analytical steps.
Maintain strong documentation in alignment with XPSSC governance, audit requirements, and model risk standards.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or related quantitative field.
0–3 years of actuarial or analytical experience
Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of experience study concepts (exposures, A/E analysis, credibility) is an advantage.
Proficiency in Excel required; familiarity with SQL, GLMs or Power BI is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail and data quality.
Effective communication skills and willingness to collaborate with cross‑functional teams across Asia.
Progress toward actuarial exams (SOA or equivalent) preferred; commitment to continued professional development expected.
