Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Accounting professional to support our accounting team on a 6-month contract. The ideal candidate is able to manage month-end activities, assist with audits, and handle both analytical work and day-to-day operational tasks. This role requires strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform month-end closing activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and preparation of accounting schedules.
  • Conduct balance sheet reviews and perform deep-dive analysis to identify variances or issues.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports for management review.
  • Prepare financial statements, schedules, and supporting documentation for statutory audit.
  • Support the employee reimbursement process by reviewing claims and ensuring completeness and compliance with company policies.
  • Prepare fixed asset schedules and participate in periodic stock-takes.
  • Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for the new fixed asset management system.
  • Support ad-hoc accounting tasks and operational activities where needed.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in accounting and finance operations.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and month-end processes.
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with accounting systems (SAP)
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Experience handling audits, preparing financial statements and audit schedules.
  • Immediate or short-notice availability preferred
