JOB SUMMARY:
The Accounts Receivables Manager oversees the full accounts receivable cycle, ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices, accurate customer billing, and effective credit management. This role is responsible for optimizing processes and partnering with cross‑functional departments to support cash flow objectives and financial accuracy.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accounts Receivable Operations
- Manage the end‑to‑end accounts receivable process, including billing, collections, cash application, credit memos, and account reconciliations.
- Review and approve customer invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Oversee customer credit evaluations, set credit limits, and monitor credit exposures.
- Ensure timely collection of payments and proactively address overdue accounts.
- Resolve complex customer disputes in coordination with Sales, Customer Service, and Finance.
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Develop weekly and bi-weekly cash flow report
- Prepare AR aging reports, KPI dashboards, weekly , bi-weekly , monthly/quarterly financial summaries.
- Analyze trends in receivables, DSO (Days Sales Outstanding), bad debt risk, and cash flow forecasting.
- Partner with the Accounting team to support month‑end close, audits, and internal controls.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and audit requirements.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline AR processes and implement automation tools where applicable.
- Improve billing accuracy, collection effectiveness, and dispute management procedures.
- Create and document AR policies, workflows, and standard operating procedures.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role overseeing AP and AR functions.
- Strong knowledge of AP and AR processes, financial reporting, and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors, customers, and internal teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; experience in a manufacturing or large-scale business environment is advantageous.
- Knowledge about US State Sales Taxes rules so this candidate can offer guidance to the sales team will be highly prefer for Automotive after-market Fleet business.
