JOB DESCRIPTION:

Summary of Job

Develop, implement and monitor accounts receivable procedures, goals and standards designed to meet compliance requirements.  Maximize timely reimbursement and provide quality customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate accounts receivable functions for client account reps to maintain stable cash flow, reduced days in accounts receivable and meet monthly closing responsibilities based on Centerstone guidelines.
  • Prepares and distributes invoices, verifying that they comply with organizational policies and accurately reflect charges incurred
  • Process end of the month functions within requested time frame and coordinate with accounting staff.
  • Ensure appropriate follow-up activity on open accounts within the departmental goal of less than 120 days in account receivable.
  • Coordinate credentialing issues with Human Resources to resolve timely.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods.
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles, computer billing, data entry experience,
  • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education Level              

College degree preferred.  High School diploma required. 

Years of Experience       

Five years medical third-party billing/collection experience required, three of which have been a supervisor.

$17.35--$24.30
