Key Responsibilities
- Leading by example to exemplify the Baker Hughes core value, including care, lead, collaborate, and grow. You must observe the business non-negotiable to uphold safety, Integrity, and quality.
- Build a team of high performing quality engineers, deploy purpose-built defect reduction program, deliver reduction in cost of poor quality (COPQ).
- Responsible to enforce COPQ governance, control, and monitor trend over time, identify action to drive COPQ reduction proactively.
- Engage cross functional team to see defects as an opportunity and hold teams accountable in rapid problem-solving activities.
- Drive defect free culture across the organization. Build quality assurance in our processes, take evidence-based lesson learn to strengthen our QMS.
- Lead top issue RCA with effective corrective and preventive action, be able to communicate succinctly and present findings to customers and senior management.
- Assisting in analysis, reporting, monitoring, and training involving audit items.
- Verify fulfillment of customer quality requirements and incorporate Lessons Learned into tender proposals to improve execution processes.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration across functional areas to meet objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (MBA or postgraduate degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in quality engineering (within oil and gas or subsea projects is preferred).
- Proven experience in QA during tendering and project execution phases.
- Strong knowledge of quality systems, regulatory compliance, and industry standards (ISO, API).
- Fluent in English (written and spoken) is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with RCA and project management desirable.
- Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt) preferred.
